Well, I had my visit with the OB today. It took only about 5 minutes, as we don't feel the need to do genetic counseling or testing for Down Syndrome (it wouldn't change anything for us). Just a quick, "how are you feeling?" and listening to the heart beat again. Roo was quite active and moving around during the whole time we watched/listened. All looks good. Heartbeat at 167 bpm. Everything is growing as expected. Next visit is in 4 weeks and we'll do an ultrasound and some blood tests.

Ooh, do you get to do an u/s every visit? We only have had two, but the ob listens to the heartbeat every visit.
Have gotten one both visits. We will have to see. There is a machine in each room and he's really quick with it.
Congratulations! I am SO happy for you and Jeff :)
My o/b did an ultrasound just about every appointment with Bean, and then at all of them with Aurora - but then, with her, I was considered 'high risk', because of the diabetes and the previous c-section.
At about 20 weeks, they did the 'full' ultrasound, where the tech (not the doctor) did all the measuring - legs, ribs, head, major organs, etc. That's when we found out gender, too.
Heheh - since I just went through the whole thing 9 months ago - let me know if you need info/advice/ or anything else. And if you have a little girl - I have a WHOLE lot of baby clothes - Aurora is growing big and chubby :)
